Krav Maga

Krav Maga, translated from Hebrew, is "Contact Combat." It is a self-defense system developed for the Israeli Defense Forces. It focuses on three main objectives awareness of one's surroundings, Self-Preservation, and one's ability to defend oneself competently in a dire situation.

Kickboxing is the umbrella term used to describe a set of sports martial arts that focus on striking with punches, kicks, knees, and elbows. Rule sets vary by promotion and style and points of contact, such as the Dutch/K-1 (6 points), Muay Thai (8 points), and Full Contact (4 points). At Elite Legacy Martial Arts, we teach all 8 points of contact, but we do compete in some organizations that limit points of contact as well as full contact and light contact promotions. This provides more opportunities for students to compete while still teaching all of the different striking techniques.
